Retail Assistant: Fruit Market & Tours
Join Tropical Fruit World as a dedicated Retail Assistant, working in our vibrant Fruit Market & Tours Department. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to combine customer service excellence with a passion for tropical fruits and unique farm-to-table products. Reporting to the Tours Supervisor, you'll be instrumental in providing a memorable shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming visitors as the first point of contact at Guest Services check-ins.
- Ensuring smooth daily operations in the Fruit Market Department.
- Performing opening and closing procedures for the Fruit Market.
- Diligently monitoring customer safety and adhering to safety procedures.
- Handling cash transactions and overseeing financial activities within the Fruit Market.
- Participating in monthly Occupational Health & Safety Toolbox meetings.
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in your department.
- Demonstrating punctuality and accurate timekeeping for every shift.
Customer Interaction:
- Respectfully and positively engage with customers, maintaining a helpful attitude.
- Refrain from discussing internal business or staff matters in front of customers.
- Prioritize customer service, especially when customers are at or near the counter, in line with our service expectations.
Teamwork and Communication:
- Foster a positive team environment and actively participate in team activities.
- Aim to enhance team performance, satisfaction, and productivity.
- Display strong problem-solving, planning, and preventative maintenance skills.
