Role Description: Tropical Fruit World is seeking a dedicated Retail Assistant to be a part of our vibrant Gift Market Department. This role is a fantastic opportunity to blend customer service excellence with your passion for tropical fruits and unique farm to table items. Reporting to the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a memorable shopping experience for our customers. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Perform opening and closing procedures of the Gift Market.
• Ensure successful daily operations of the Gift Market Department.
• Consistently monitor and ensure the safety of customers, following safety procedures diligently.
• Oversee cash handling and transactions within the Gift Market.
• Attend monthly Occupational Health & Safety Toolbox meetings.
• Maintain optimum cleanliness and presentation of all areas related to your department.
• Ensure punctuality and proper clocking on/off for every shift.

Customer Interaction:

• Always treat customers with respect and maintain a positive, helpful attitude.
• Avoid discussing business or staff matters in the presence of customers.
• Focus solely on customer service when customers are at or near the counter, following the TFW service expectation guidelines.

Teamwork and Communication:

• Enhance the team environment with positive behavior.
• Participate actively in work-based team activities and foster team cooperation.
• Strive to enhance team performance, job satisfaction, and productivity.
• Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and planning skills, including preventative maintenance.
